Principal's Message

Welcome to Shawnee Elementary—home of the Sharks! I’m proud to serve as the principal of this incredible K-5 building, where we support approximately 600 students each year in a warm, engaging, and inclusive environment. At Shawnee, we’re more than just a school—we’re a family.

Shawnee Elementary is built on the foundation of our core values, the Shawnee C’s:

  • Critical Thinking – Our students are encouraged to be problem-solvers and curious learners who think deeply and creatively.

Communication is a key part of what makes our school community so strong. Each Friday, I send out The Weekly Catch, our family newsletter that keeps everyone connected and informed about upcoming events, important updates, and highlights from the week. You can also follow us on social media to see the amazing learning, creativity, and joy that happens at Shawnee every day.

There is something truly special about the Shawnee community. Whether it’s the dedication of our staff, the involvement of our families, or the spirit of our students, this is a place where people care deeply and work together to create a school where everyone can thrive.
